Greece, My Dream Fulfilled

After seeing the movie Hercules, starring body builder Steve Reeve, I became fascinated by ancient Greece; with all its history, its myths and its legends. Ever since then I had always dreamed of going to Greece, but thinking that it would never happen. However, after I retired in 2013, and my wife and I began our traveling, we made fulfilling that dream of mine front and center.

From all my years of studies I knew exactly where I wanted to go, and what I wanted to see, in that glorious country. Having never been to Europe before, we felt it would be more appropriate to take a tour than doing it on our own. Since I had very precise destinations we had to find a tour company that delivered on that. We found that Collette Travel’s “Exploring Greece and Its Islands” hit all of my must see places.

So join me as I share my adventures, and my dream fulfilled, as I journey from Athens, to the famous battle site of Thermopylae, on to the far northern Meteora, down to Delphi, Olympia, Mycenae, and then to the Islands of Mykonos and volcanic Santorini, through these following posts:
